Waldteufel - Skater’s Waltz for Eleven-part Brass Ensemble with Timpani and Percussion Strings The six Sonatas of VolumeWaldteufel composed his beautiful Skater's Waltz in 1882, having been inspired by the "Cercle des Patineurs" or 'Rink of Skaters' at the Bois de Boulogne in Paris. The wonderfully orchestrated work is especially graceful, invoking scenes of winter and skaters falling to the ice. Angus Armstrong's very fine eight minute arrangement is suitable for advanced performers and is scored for: Piccolo Trumpet in B flat, C Trumpet and 2 Trumpets in B flat, 2
